Established in 1991, IBIS Air Conditioning is a private company and sister company to United Mechanical Air Conditioning Contractors. Originally founded as Brant Mechanical in 1983, the directors recognised the requirement to run the installation and services business separately in order to provide both categories of customers with the optimal value IBIS is synonymous with.

Paul Christopher
As joint managing director Paul is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation, business operations and customer relationships. Paul established Brant Mechanical in 1983 after moving to Australia in 1981. Prior to this, Paul worked in the mechanical engineering field in Canada for 8 years.
Paul is a certified air conditioning technician and estimator who has a strong background in business and business development. Paul is also certified by the University of Sydney in project management. Paul lives in Avalon Beach with his wife and family and enjoys surfing, rugby and cooking.
As the other joint managing director of Ibis, Tim is responsible for the operations of the service division.
Tim is a qualified air conditioning technician. Prior to joining IBIS, Tim worked as an air conditioning technician at Valid Air for 3 years. Prior to that Tim spent 8 years in the mechanical engineering field at companies such as All Makes Compressors.
Certifications and Memberships
At Ibis we take great pride in our industry certifications and memberships and ensure that our staff undergo regular training in all areas of workplace safety and skills assessment and improvement.
We hold current refrigeration and air conditioning licences from the office of fair trading and we are also active members of the Australian Industry Group.
